we'll see you tomorrow
I haven’t posted in the last month because I have been ill and I’m not supposed to be typing but this week I am making an exception.  This week is National Suicide Prevention Week in the US but since the internet can reach people world wide – this is something me and many other people around the world join in with in the run up to World Suicide Prevention Day on the 10th.

On average, one person dies by suicide every 40 seconds somewhere in the world.

I believe it is super important to raise awareness in any way possible and simply posting encouraging reminders on social media, sharing informative tools and finding conversation starters are a perfect way to play your part.

One way to start the conversation and raising awareness is by changing your profile pictures, header images and cover photos. To Write Love on Her Arms is a nonprofit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. Every year the organisation provides free images to use on social media so if you would like to use those I have posted them below:

Throughout the week, you can share what you’re doing to start conversations about suicide prevention using #Tomorrow15, #NSPW15 (for National Suicide Prevention Week), and #WSPD15 (for World Suicide Prevention Day).

Just a few other ways to present hope are by sharing encouraging messages, writing love or drawing a semicolon on your arm!

There are loads of creative ways to spread awareness and help prevent suicide so, while you are using it, make the most of the internet and go and spread hope in any way that you can 🙂
